5 Point has flourished and reached a point where we can
change this city for Christ.
Have you ever:
Wondered why we are here?
Doubted the purpose of your life?
Wondered what the future holds for you?
Churches battle these questions:
How do we reach out?
How do we seek the lost?
How do we minister to those who attend 5 Point?
Where your life can be if you truly allow Christ to lead you.
Seeking Him in all decisions.
Living your life based on His word.
Boldly telling others about Him.
The impact you and thousands of others with the same dream can make if we sacrifice for Him.
Building our Dream... brick by brick.
Over the last five years, service attendance and our children's program have doubled in size with our student ministry tripling.
Our auditorium as well as our children's area are no longer adequate for anticipated growth.
So that leaves us with a great problem to have:
We are out of room!
The best solution is to find a new building that will allow us to grow for the future!
We have executed a letter of intent to purchase the old Walmart facility on Pendleton St., which will be finalized and ready for construction November 2016. Pre-construction will start December 2016 or January 2017. Construction period will last 6-8 months.
The facility is 80,000 square feet versus our current facility of 29,000 square feet. This will allow us ample space to grow as we continue to reach more folks in the surrounding communities.
Our plan is to expand in stages depending on growth rate. We would start by renovating 45,000 square feet. This would allow our worship service capacity to grow from 700 to 1,200 with the ability to host 400 children each service.
God has prepared our church for this incredible opportunity. We have built up our operational budget over the last year to where, once we are in the new building, we will be able to pay for the loan amount each month through our operational account. This means that whatever we raise from $1,500,000 and up on Nov. 6th will go towards making the dream become a reality. The more we raise, the more impact we can make!
How God wants to use you:
1. God wants to work in you & through you.
For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)
2. He is ready to empower you!
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7)
3. He wants to boost your faith!
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
Have you ever thought about what money impacts?
99% of it impacts you in some way more of the time! James explains that the ultimate challenge for many is to trust God with their money (and that blessings will come from that), and that all we have is a gift from God.
In essence, tithing is only returning to Him what is already His, BUT offering / sacrifice is truly giving to God.
Objections to tithing:
"I can't afford to" - You can't afford NOT to in honoring Christ. (FPU classes are available to teach you how)
"The church just wants my money" - Not so; God simply wants you to worship Him in all aspects of your life.
"My tithe won't matter" - Your tithe matters to God. No matter what amount it is, it is a sacrifice to the King and it demonstrates obedience to Him!
How can I be a part of this journey?
1. Pray for God to show you what you are to sacrifice.
2. Prepare your house to give to God's storehouse through a financial sacrifice on November 6th. Our goal is to raise $1,500,000 on that day to make this dream become a reality!
3. Trust God through tithing 10% of your income. If everything tithed at 5 Point we would not even have to ask for money; if would already be in the accounts!
Bring your gift on November 6th and we will have a special day planned to celebrate this incredible occasion as one church sacrifices to make a dream a reality.
You can give through cash, check, online through our secure give app or in our lobby areas. You can also give stock, properties, automobiles and use other creative methods of giving to help us accomplish our $1,500,000 goal.
